Will a DVD-Audio disc play on the computer?

Is it posssible to play a DVD-Audio in all its glory on the computer? Any drivers or special software required? I do have a firewire audio interface that does up to 192khz/24-bit.

Not unless you have a software player designed to do so.

It is most likely playing the video layer which contains a Dolby Digital track. I haven't been able to find any evidence that it will play the contents of the audio folder.

An important distinction... a lot of people don't seem to realize that there can be multiple audio formats on DVDs, particularly vids... sometimes folks think they're hearing something at 24/96 when they're actually hearing a fairly degraded format.
