Apogee Symphony PCI-X / PCIe Advice.

I'm in the market for a new audio interface. The thing is I'm looking to go from my G5 PPC to a MacPro in the next few months (next revision most likely). I have a G5 with PCI-X slots now. I see myself using the Apogee Symphony and buying a Rosetta 800 to play nice with it.

Couple questions:

1) Would you go ahead and get the PCI-X Symphony card and then sell it to get a PCIe card when the move is made to the Mac Pro? Will there even be an aftermarket for this card in 3 - 6 months? If I thought I could move it for $500 - $600 I wouldn't have as much of an issue pulling the trigger, but I see a PCI-X Symphony card as being pretty "legacy" out of the gate.

2) Maybe get a RME Digiface + Rosetta 800? Sell the Digiface (which seems to me to have a better resale value), and then get a pair of Symphony cards when the migration to the Mac Pro occurs.

3) African or European swallow?
