Pro Tools Problem, Please help !!

Hey Everybody,

Been trying for 3 days to solve this. Even posted on other BBS's, but not getting anywhere fast.

I am using the DEMO verion of Pro Tools M-Powered.

All I want to do, is RECORD the AUDIO that is outputted by my Virtual Synth.

So.... I got a MIDI track, and an audio track.

The Midi plays the SYNTH which is an inserted effect on the audio track. I can hear the music, and the audio track's signal moves up and down as it plays.

However, I CANNOT figure out how to record it.

I arm the audio track for recording, and hit record - but it just records a blank wave.

PLEASE HELP !!!

An audio track can only record its input. You have to make an aux track, insert the synth on it, then make the output of the aux track a bus. Make the input of an audio track the same bus as the output of the synth's aux track.

Please supply us with a screen shot.. it sounds like you're changing the Track from an Audio Track to an Aux Track... what's the icon on the lower right of the fader in the Mix window look like after you've "changed input"?

Thanks to everybody that helped me out.

A guy from the homerecording forum found the problem....

....the demo version will not record off a BUS.

So... I did have it setup right, but whenever I set my track input to a bus, the record button would dissappear.

Oh well..... I'll have my full version next week hopefully.

Thanks again people !!!
