Logic > Quicktime problem

Hello there

Here is the problem ; For the second time now I don't have sound with my quicktime, I checked everything in the quicktime prefrences etc... But this happens after I used Logic Pro 7.2.
Has anyone heard of this, and if so, how can I fix it.
With the first time I re-installed Logic and the problem was gone, but I guess I don't have to do that everyday
BUT !!! The wmf. opens up in quicktime using flip for mac, and then I do have sound !!!
please help

thanks

G-lay

Try downloading the "pro application support file" from apples site. Anytime I have "no sound" that usually solves it. I hope it helps

Unless you're talking about the 'export audio to movie' function, which as far as I know is still busted in Logic "Pro".

I think I've read on Apple's Logic forums that going back to an earlier version may solve this bug, but far as I know it just doesn't work and Apple can't be bothered to fix it.

Fun!

Actually, that function is only busted if you are using a new Intel Mac. I run Logic 7.2.1 and OS 10.4.6 on a dual 2.5 G5, and everything works fine. The new Intel iMacs at the school where I teach are unable to export audio to movie in Logic, and also choke a lot of the time when trying to export a Quicktime when audio is laid to picture in iMovie as well. I don't know if this is a system, hardware, Logic, or Quicktime issue, but it's a real drag when I'm trying to teach my students how to score to picture. They all have to do their layups in iMovie now, and even that is a little kludgy. Also, the new Macs aren't as robust when dealing with different video codecs and formats. I assigned a particular clip to score, and they couldn't lay it up at all, while at home, with the same system, Quicktime version, and Logic version, I had no problem at all.

Thanks for the reply's people

I didn't had a quicktime file in this particular session, I just made some music and at the end of the day I quit Logic.
I didn't run it trough my digi002R, just straight from the MacBook Pro on my headphones.
I was just working at home, relaxed....
But the thing is,... I can watch and hear the sound of some quicktime videos on the internet, like stuff from the Apple website ( the funny PC vs Mac adds ) and stuff from the nine inch nails website, and I guess there are more websites out there where I can watch and here the quicktime files....
Could this be an Core audio problem ? And if so, how can I fix it ?

again, please help thumbsup
