Anybody using IcyDock ESATA enclosures for mirroring RAIDs?

Just curious if anyone's using IcyDock ESATA boxes for mirrored RAIDs with PT or other DAW (Mac-based, especially)

Here's the one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817994037

It's a bit less expensive than Sonnet and Firmtek's offerings, yet seems similarly featured.

I'm still running PTHD with a chassis on a G4, so I have PCI slots available for a host card..

Every time I look at stuff like this, I start to feel very analog ... So ... Any warnings or success stories would be welcome.

Nobody?

I know Digi's official stance on RAIDs is no, but looking at stuff like this for use as a JBOD array, it occured to me that it might also work as a mirroring RAID.. which would be great for my lazy ass.

Anyway... anyone?
