Post 2 firepods that just won't sync during playback

Hey guys, since y'all always have the answers....

I'm using Nuendo 3, and I have 2 firepods that just won't sync during playback. They will sync during recording, but when i try to play audio with both of them connected, They lose sync... I've called presonus many times, and we're at the end of the troubleshooting line... They don't just lose sync when i'm playing Nuendo, it happens with quicktime, WMP, any audio that has to pass through

I have the chipset they recommend, i've done all of their tweaks...

I've had these things a year or so, I even swapped them when i first got them because i thought it might be a problem with one of the pods...

I'm just praying to Jimi Hendrix one of you has had this issue and solved it so I can start sleeping again....
Thanks

Hi,

give me more details;

1. Computer type and specs.
2. Do they loose sync only when two are connected or do you have this problem when one is connected also?
3. Check cables.
4. Try driver 1.2
5. If running SVP2 then install the MS Firewire patch.
6. During playback, does the sync light go red?
7. Did you try a different firewire card?

Let me know.

computer:
Gigabyte systemboard, Pentium D 2.8, 1 Gb of ram

I tried 2 new cables

Tried both Drivers

Ran the Patch for Sp2

Both sync lights go red during playback

This is the second Firewire card....

My system board does not have onboard Firewire.... I'm thinking maybe I should get an Intel system board... who knows
