Problems when exporting/importing OMF 24 bit files - Logic 5.5.1

Hi,
I have a problem which I cannot find a solution for.

I try to export a project in Logic 5.5.1 containing 24 bit 44.1 kHz. Everyting works OK and I get the OMF-file. When I try to import it back to Logic for a test all files are nothing but digital distortion. They are on the right position and has the right names, but contains distortion only.

If I check the convert to 16 bit option in the OMF export dialog box everything works OK, but I want to stay in 24 bit.

Any idea about how to solve this is highly appreciated.

If I'm correct, you can't export 24bit OMFS with that version of OMF/Logic.
You will have to consolidate the files and export them intheir entirety.
