Please post your findings. Also, if you have any experience with the eq, is it worth buying them as a package? Thanks.

I've been a beta tester on it - and I love it.

For me, an absolutely must have compressor - very 'real' sounding, with the ability to change how the transients that breach the threshold are dealt with.

No brainer for me.

Try the eq though - conversely I don't like it that much, sounds great and everything, but (and this is obviously just my opinion) - didn't stand out so much. I use Eqium/Firium and I didn't feel it was that much better.

A bit, maybe, particularly on the high-end - but didn't feel like a must have.

Try the demos!

Pete

Caveat: I tend to like compressors with lots of character and sound, and the opposite in Eq - so we may be completely different!

I know its sacriledge to say this, and this is my first experience with sonalksis as I never bothered to download their EQ. The comp is phenominal. Im working on a clients mix right now and Ive done separate mixdowns through the LA2A, fairchild, and soniformer and the sonalksis is punchier and the most 3d sounding of the bunch. The drums are thick and the transients totally THERE without the top end sheen the fairchild puts on everything.

The only problem is the $240 pricetag. Definitely overpriced.
