Thread Starter | Delta 1010lt + Pro Tools M-Powered + Mac G4 dual: any cons?
Is this a good setup for a small project studio? Any cons people with experience could tell me about? I'm a bit worried about the quality of the A/D inputs, since they are RCA and built into the board. I'm also not sure of how well the M-Powered Pro Tools will operate. This is for a friend who's getting into recording, I already steered him into getting a couple Sm7s, a Beyer M201, an Akg D112, and the plan is to get a pair of Shure KSM 141s and start recording demos for bands in his area. So it's not meant to be an ambitious setup, but I want him to have stuff that is good enough for that. |

My studio gets a lot of hip hop tracks from a guy with a delta 1010lt. He has to run hum eliminators on most of his channels to keep them quiet. I've the LT is much noisier than the regular 1010.

Thanks, that's good to know, though it could be just improper connections in someone's studio. Still, that's something to look out for. Any more feedback would be appreciated. |
