Does Kontact work as well with Cubase as it does with Logic?

Im just getting into software sample libraries and it seems as though Kontact will work with just about every library out there. It comes with E/W Colossus which has more sounds than I will probably ever need. Im not sure how wasy it is to use but Im just gonna give it a shot. Anyhow, I will be running it on a new Mac Pro and hopefully the Lynx AES16 card for PCI-e.

Does it run well with Cubase (or Nuendo) or Logic? Im ditching Protools and going native. Ive heard that the Logic customer support isnt the greatest but that Logic works well syncing up to another Mac (running the sampler) via ethernet should I want to go this route in the future. Anyone have any horror stories about compatiblity?

Do you run it on a seperate CPU or just alongside Nuendo? Are you using a Mac or a PC? Does Kontact chase Nuendo or does Nuendo chase Kontact?

Thanks

I run Kontakt 2 on my Macbook Pro with little issues using Cubase 4. It has gotten a little sluggish lately when loading large sample library patches. By this I mean it seems to take a few seconds after dragging a patch to Kontakt to start loading the samples. Once all samples are loaded it takes a few seconds to get audio. No crashing or anything serious though. It worked flawless for a longtime and probably just needs reinstalled.

Thanks Kat.

By the way what midi controller are you using? Does Kontact have a list of contollers in a menu to choose from so all of the fucntions work? I noticed M-Audio has pads on the top of their new controller. I take it it is pretty easy to assign what pads effect what sample?

Not sure.. You could just assign the knobs/buttons on your controller to functions in Kontakt via the DAW or controller. I am using a CME at work and temporarily an Alesis Ion at home. I dont use many parameters in Kontakt just the basics (adsr, etc). I use it to play EWQL libraries mostly. I do drums in Battery or Halion 3.
