Protools Delay Compensation and Midi Programming help!

Hi,
I'm currently mixing a song (protools hd 7.2.1, g5 dual 2.66 intel) and I need to program some midi parts.. With Delay Compensation turned on, my midi tracks are playing back early. Anyone know how to deal with this WITHOUT shutting off Delay Compensation or is that the only solution?
Thanks!

Send a message via AIM to Byrne
Check the manual for global MIDI offset.

You can also do track by track MIDI offset using the midi real-time properties.

That is about it.

Thanks all. Appreciate the responses.
So basically, if I'm using delay compensation (long) and I have Drumagog on couple of my live drum tracks I should:
1. CTRL click on the drum tracks to see the sample delay
2. Use that number as my global midi offset
Sound right? or does each virtual instrument and analog midi keyboard need to be set differently? And if so, whats the best way to calculate this?

You want to use the one with the largest amount off delay, as ADC offsets the audio track by the largest amount.

I have that exact problem but the solution is not working. I look for the plugin that's causing the biggest amount of delay then I type that same amount in "Global MIDI Offset" but the MIDI is still playing way off (to the audio). What am I missing?

Could it be the tempo isn't set correctly? If it's that far off .. that's usually
the problem. Since the audio tracks are sample based and the midi tracks
are tick based..

Thanks but that certainly is not the problem.

I'm running the MIDI to sound modules and I can't get them to sound on time with the audio in Pro Tools, especially if there's a plugin causing a lot of delay compensation.
