| Gear nut | I just moved from Virginia to Souther California. I have a G4 with an HD3. Since LA is rediculously expensive I decided to sell my HD 3 (it's for sale BTW along with a bunch of other gear, Avalon 737 etc) and get a monster LE setup for a while. I'm doing Overdub stuff and some mixing. Help me out here. What should I get and why. Here's what I need to know. Computer - Intel Mac Quad 2.6 or 3.0? Pro Tools - Which interface? Mbox Pro, 002, M Powered Preamps - I need a stereo pair EQs Compressors - Distressors? Convertors - (BTW, does word clock affect mixing in the box?) Bounce to disk? to DAT? Give me some feedback and let me know what you think.... Peace! |

| the word clock will affect your D/A used for monitoring probably - which arguably affects the mixing. |
