2nd Room - Listening Space

After seeing a picture of Bob Katz' room I'm thinking of setting up a spare room as a "listening" environment that could be used as a future Mastering space. I was thinking of putting a comfy couch, some big 15 inch Tannoys we have, and a computer.
We are currently wiring the place with high speed ethernet. It would be easy to run analog tielines to the room too. What I'm wondering is what would be a good way to connect multitrack digital between the machine room and the "listening" room. It's about 75 feet between the two spaces.

Is there an ethernet solution?

Would MADI be a choice?

Can AES/EBU be transmitted over that distance?

Any thoughts would be helpful. See the digitaldomain site for pictures of Bob Katz' room.

I use MADI between my rooms. 64 channels over tiny optical cable. Can't beat it.
I use ethernet extenders for my keyboard/mouse so the computers can stay in the machine room. You can also transmit/receive timecode and midi over MADI.

Regards,
Bruce

Thanks for the info.

I know there is a RME MADI card. Does anyone know of a product that would break-out MADI to AES or ADAT?

I was thinking of having a DAW in each room and using remote desktop to operate the whichever one is not in ths space I'm in.

Thanks for the info. I know that RME makes a MADI card. Is there such a thing as MADI - AES or MADI - ADAT convertor?

I would use remote desktop to control the remote DAW. I also have a Win2000 box I could turn in to a fileserver.

RME makes a MADI converter called the ADI-6432. I know that SSL and Euphonix also make converters but are considerably more expensive.
HERE is a MADI to ADAT converter on eBay.
