| Mac pro INTEL Question.. I did a search, but couldn't find nothing. so If I missed it will someone point me in the right direction if so. my question is....I'm picking up a Mac Pro today. I was wondering what kind of issues im looking at, if I install Windows XP on it? I'am a PC guy but I've worked on Macs and Enjoy them too. Thanks. |

| Lives for gear | No issues at all. XP fits pretty well on it, however all hardware support isn't in there. Can't use an iSight or built in mac webcam, I'm sure protools would bitch about it, etc.. I haven't updated bootcamp, but I had one issue of my (unsupported in the documentation) bluetooth mac keyboard not always showing up instantly (requiring me to use my USB keyboard to get it working at first). So be it. I'll be getting a new Mac Pro in a few weeks. I'm not normally the type to hope against a speed increase, but I hope they don't come out with 8 core systems the day after I buy one, which they will with my luck (as they've done something similar the week after each of my other macs I bought). So is life.

In any case - you'll be amazed how nice Macs are to use. Pure class!

That only makes sense if you (I) didn't misread the title as saying MacBook Pro. Oops for me.

you can set up a mouse "zone" in preferences to make the mouse act like a right click. it's one button and when setup this way you can click like regular on the left side, and perform a right click on the right side of the mouse. there was a thread here somewhere that mentioned how to do this. i think its called something like, "does apple have too much pride" or something. i set it up like this and it works great. from apple site: "The Button That Wasn’t Alas the fate of the one-button mouse in today’s multibutton world. Who has time for intuitive, elegant design when there is so much clicking to do? Thanks to a smooth top shell with touch-sensitive technology beneath, Mighty Mouse allows you to right click without a right button. Capacitive sensors under Mighty Mouse’s seamless top shell detect where your fingers are and predict your clicking intentions, so you don’t need two buttons — just two fingers. Click on the left side to use Mighty Mouse in its simplest, single-button form. Click on the right to access contextual menus within applications and edit, copy, label or download from your mouse. It’s simple sleight of hand."
