Best (Chamber) Strings Set for PT LE / RTAS?

yes i have done a search, but i am confused on a few issues....
for instance, can the VSL strings set work as an RTAS plugin in PT LE?

any suggestions as to a good (small and under $1000 USD) string set would be appreciated.
needs to be able to work as an RTAS plugin without a softsampler.

thanks!

Go and ask on the VSL forum and you'll have an answer in no time.

But i think Kontakt 2 would work on protools so you could get the Horizon chamber strings for K2 + Kontakt 2, which is a good idea anyway.

VSL now also have their own player, but I'm not sure if RTAS is supported yet?

VSL chamber strings and K2 are my favourite tools. Cant go wrong with that.

not that I've never used K2 on a protools system. I run it standalone on a Pc with no problem.

yep i wanted to avoid purchasing a separate soft-sampler, but this is just what was recommended on the VSL forum: VSL Chamber Strings + NI Kontakt 2.

Good luck!
