You know, maybe we weren't as good as the mighty BLACKLINE but Squabble (I swear that name sounded so much cooler 20 years ago) did have quite a nice little run for a small town band. Roger looked a lot like Bono and he used to put on a fake accent and tell people he was Bono's cousin. It got us a few gigs and a few paternity suits. After I remix our old tracks I'm sure VH1 will contact us for the reuniting.

Ok guys, group buy is done. I'm really glad we well surpassed the 35 mark and I believe we hit OVER 50. Everyone in the group buy will be getting an email within the next three days. This email will request that you send us a valid paypal address, along with your full name that must match the purchase receipt name. Shortly after that, you will see your 50 dollar rebate in your paypal account. If you do not have a paypal account, start one now.

Again, thanks George, and thanks to everyone who participated. I think that you will all thoroughly enjoy using this sample collection and the soon to be updates. Please email us at support@stevenslatedrums.com for any problems, questions, comments, reviews, testimonials, or just to say hi. We'd also love to hear some user audio demos. Thanks again, after years of working on this project, its great to have it out with such success.

First, I want to thank George for helping with this.

Here are the rules of the GEARSLUTZ Steven Slate Drums GROUP BUY:

1. To prevent people from dropping out, this will be a CASH BACK GROUP BUY

2. To participate in the group buy, you must first PM George Necola your full name and email

3. You will then go to www.stevenslatedrums.com/groupbuy.html and purchase the disc for its full price of $199, using regular priority shipping only (not express), and it will be shipped to you immediately

4. At the end of the group buy, which we have made January 14th, George will send us his list, and we will verify it with the buyers from the group buy page.

5. If 15-24 people have purchased, they will receive 20 dollars back via PAYPAL.
If 25-34 people have purchased, they will receive 40 dollars back via PAYPAL.
If 35 or more people have purchased, they will receive 50 dollars back via PAYPAL.

6. We will have George send us an updated list each day and we will post the number of people in the group buy at www.stevenslatedrums.com/groupbuy.html

This should be a fairly easy way to save yourself some cash, and get yourself a virtual worldclass drum locker! Thanks everyone, and thanks again George.
Well i wish it was written down in the rules one the first page of this thread about this group buy ending at noon today. I just ordered the samples not too long ago and then later read that it ended at noon. does this mean i was not part of the group buy? what gives? i seriously dont have the time to read every post in this thread. i assumed that by ending on the 14th that it is still available on the 14th, oh well live and learn i guess.fuuck

Got the samples last night and loaded a couple of snares, toms, and bass drums into Battery. I didn't have much time, but I tried them in one of my tunes. They sounded great and fit perfectly into the mix! These are just what I' ve been looking for. Nice work!

It takes about 3-5 days to CANADA GPI.

Hey Bang, or Steven (i Guess),

just bought my copy tonight and cant wait to get it over here in UK...cus it sounds fukin sweet on those demos. I have a question tho,

On those demos when we hear the drums with the samples in them, did you only mix in the samples with the overheads and room tracks(from the live takes) or are the samples blended in with the whole mix (with kick and snare etc + overhead and room from the live takes)?

also i can safely say that i will not be drumagoging these. i fukin hate the fact drumagog cant place the samples exactly in time to the played hits.....nope...... its all manual line up of midi for me....its a flaming pain in the ass but the result is soo much more satisfying and proper in time.............

To answer your questions, I put drumagog on the close mic tracks and then triggered the desired samples.

As for Drumagog, it seems that you haven't used it since the new auto align feature was added. Furthermore, the auto alignment algo keeps getting updated and at is latest, version 4.09, is extremely precise.

Ok, groupbuy email was sent. Check your mail, and check your spam box because mass emails tend to go that route. If you haven't received an email, hit us up at
support@stevenslatedrums.com with your order number and name.

Also, GOGs are being tested (and will ship Monday). The 4.09 seems to really make the auto align super tight, things are sounding great here.
