Reviving the dead....has anyone used tab to transient in Reaper to replace drums? If so, how? I get to the transient with the tab key but can't move to another track to paste.

I just did a quick experiment and it seems to work YMMV.

Make a new Custom Action then add the following
Track: Goto next track
Item: Paste Item/Tracks
Track: Goto previous track
Item : Select all items in selected tracks

For this to work you need to select the track your working on (obviously) and copy the sample you want to paste and have an empty track below the drum track.

It was just a quick experiment but it seemed to work fine for me.
Don't forget to assign the Custom Action to a key for maximum speed.
