Studio Desk (for home studio) I'm looking for opinions on home studio desks. I've got quite a bit of room and I would like to house my full-size keyboard, my 2 LCDs (20 inch), keyboard, mouse, mixer, receiver, and two rack-mountable pods (bass and guitar). Also, I want enough clear desk room that I can put paper work on the desk when I'm doing real-world stuff. I found this website: http://www.mrack.com.au/ which looked pretty cool, except that its in Australia and I'm in the US so I imagine it would suck getting it here. Help!

maybe you can try to build one for yourself...i made my studio desk in the summer..it just take me 1 day to put everything together..(wood , parts)..it is better to create that by yourself...you can put anything you want in anywhere.. i put my keyboard, monitor , rack , and i have extra space for working my paper work... also...way cheaper.... good luck kelvin

Yeah, those are kinda ridiculous. Looks like you just piled a bunch of junk in a corner. I built mine also. Pretty easy. Get an idea of what you want and give it a shot.

I did tons of research on workstation desks...looked at Argosy, Omnirax, etc. I liked the Mrack desk the best, but they've been sold out for months. Then I stumbled on a one man shop in Miami who builds affordable custom workstations/consoles. My custom desk should be ready in a few weeks and he is great to work with. I must have asked 500 questions, sent 50 emails and had 7 or 8 phone conversations... www.styleandfunction.net He's building me a totally cusom desk with a huge sliding desktop for keyboard/mouse, fixed side brackets for 88 key controller, 4 rack spaces, and everything is height and depth adjustable. Price considerably less than Omnirax, etc. Best, Charles www.charlesparente.com
