Finding quality people to work with... to grow business.

This is far from a rant or bitching, I am really trying to retain my sanity and evaluate how so many individuals I deal with can be such worthless time wasters.

In my mind my, expressions, motivations and intentions are clearly stated and I just ask people uphold their end of obligations as to benefit all parties involved.

Examples below:

“Manager”
Trying to close 10k worth of work, all I ask manager (after I sat with client lined everything out wrote the contract answered questions ect.). “Please call client and seal the deal, secure deposit”.
Two Five-minute conversations you’re cut $1k.

Didn’t happen, haven’t been contacted for weeks, lost one deal closed the other myself. Where is my manager?? (Going places, flying around, drinking, wasting time).

“Web Designer”
My exclusive guy to make websites for new clients gives me a slight price break,
I supply constant work.
Can’t follow written request and utilize supplied promotional materials. Web sites are hard to navigate, and don’t promote the product! (An artist website with no music!!)

I don’t enjoy spending hours packaging materials and writing specific request only to repeat myself 4 times and resend things several times. Hours of my time spent walking the “web guru” through basic design concepts.

“Band on a Label”
Spent seven months mixing/producing band for pennies’… After many “artistic” issues and control freak band that can’t communicate amongst them…we go in circles, months into mixing band changes, vocals, drums, direction….

At the end band stops talking to me, pays me finished the album a week before label deadline and I see press release from label about the release of the album. Nothing like an appreciative band who respects you enough to communicate..

Unfortunately many times when I ask nice and polite the first few times and don't get action its not until I finally scream my bloody head off that the problem gets attended to.

The world is divided up into a relative few of the real leaders that do all the science, inventing, technology, business and stuff while 90% of us schlubs merely get dragged along by their coattails.

I had a two man crew finally come in here from the cable company to run a new line into our condo after 4 years of sh*t service. So what happens? They do mine but cut the downstairs neighbors cable apart. Now I have to have them again going through my apartment to get into the attic space to run new line for the downstairs.
DOH!

My unprofessional web "guy" contacted a mutual "industry" friend saying I am ****ing with him. Last time I checked I was the client, with certain needs. I pay my people when they deliver. I don't need personal drama or whining.

I have shit to do and artist to build.. People just fail!

Why are you working with these people if they cause you such frustration? Makes no sense at all...

lmfao, what's wrong with you? I would never throw a web designer work if he didn't produce quality websites. Isn't that a deal breaker? lol Sorry, I just don't get it...is he your cousin or something?

And not sure what you're bitching about with the band on the label...you got paid, they released the album...wtf?

As for the manager...find your balls and fire him.
