getting a music video done for free

I am involved in a small label and are just getting a release out and think a budget animated/aftereffected type video for one of the songs would be nice.
Now we all worked for free on the project so there's no budget and thought someone who is an animator or video artist would like to do this for experience and credits just like film makers are getting sound designers and composers to do the same.

The question is if people know of places to find such people.

thanks

put up posters with contact pull tabs on local film school campuses. students are your best bet though you may have to pay for camera/lighting rent.

Yea man, colleges are the way to go. plaster the creative/arts departments with posters saying what you want.

yeah that makes sense although in my town the film school students have not impressed, will try it though. I was also wondering if something if there's a website just like there is lots of offers for composers on mandy

you need to reach out via twitter, facebook, myspace bulletins to your fans and let them know that you are looking for someone to do a video for you.

since they are probably very passionate about your music and band, someone will have the hookup or know someone that has the hookup for you.

this is called "crowdsourcing" and is covered by a lot of music industry strategy blogs. it really is the best way to get anything done, now-a-days.
