Thread Starter | help with 2 inch tape tracks
I just recorded a 5 song demo in Nashville running through a Harrison console to 2inch. Well when I brought the songs home and opened in protools I noticed that all the tracks have this high frequency noise build up around 17k (forgive for not knowing exact terms). Is there a way to fix this without haveing to eq it out? All I have are plugin eqs. Can something like this be fixed in Mastering??? Thanks so much in Advance! |

I would post this in the "so much gear" section. I'm wondering if NR was used for tracking and maybe not decoded on playback? As for fixing the issue, I would try one of the NR plugins that analyze the noise and then remove it. |
