Why so much portico hype now?

I remember a year or so ago, I was posting threads nobody wanted to comment or cared. Now how ppl here have portico pre's, tape emul, compressor????

Maybe because more people have them now or have tried them. I don't remember endless threads on them anyways. 1 or 2 maybe which is to be expected when a new pre hits the shelves. I got 2 from the start and still have them. I'm looking at a ma 2.2 now
