why, why, why!!!? only 1 tb port on PT TB native box

I just cannot believe the short sightedness of Avid to only provide 1 thunderbolt port on the HD native box.

For computers with only one TB port it means no further daisy chaining. I need a second monitor in my live room and this is now impossible without a messy USB solution. (The only way to split TB right now is with the Apple 27" monitor)

Was literally about to buy this....

Well, they have lost my custom. Bye bye Avid. Hello Apogee.

Idiots. Incredible.

This is finally coming very soon (they've just opened preorders a couple weeks ago).

Whether Avid certifies it or not is another issue, but it might work!

It's still only one TB in and one TB out, so you don't really gain anything but the USB's and the Firewire. You could get a USB hub for a fraction of the cost.

Ah, I got that one confused with this one.

Thought the Belkin had an HDMI port on it for some reason, I guess it doesn't.

That would solve the second-screen issue.

The thing is, it DID have in prototype!

This product has been "vaporware" for at least two years and was demoed at CES with an HDMI port.

Another strange decision. There IS a market for this. How many TB monitors are there out there right now ? - few.
