My AKG 414 has been in the shop 9 months

The guy who is working on my mic or said he would work on my mic repaired my U87 in 2 months. Everything was good. Now he won't answer his phone or my messages. I am unsure what to do. It's been 9 months. GT.

Well thanks so much that sounds like a great idea. I wonder if there would be anything I could try before going postal? The repair guy is well known. GT.

If he works in a shop, I would go there. Something could have happend to him or he have another sim card or what ever.
If he has a store, someone knows where he is. You have the receipt?
Then I would go to the police, if you cant find him.

If nothing helps and he just sold it or something, then it´s up to what makes you feel good. But If you pay someone you dont know to visit him. Then you dont know whats gonna happend, or when it´s gonna stop.

The other man can easily pay double so the violence commes back to you. It´s all about money. And only one is gonna benefit from this. Thats not gonna be you.

Do it your self, maybe ask/pay a freind to go with you, as a support. If you dont wanna do it, dont do it.
Better to loose one 414 then one 414, alot of money and getting badly beaten.
Hope everything works out.

My DA-88 has been in the shop for 3 months. The guy who is working on it is a GREAT guy but like so many people today he is going for the jobs that he can make the most money on and get the quickest turnaround so he can stay "in business". If you know the address of this person send him a letter by registered mail - receipt requested. If he signs for it you know he is still in business. Our just drive by his shop and stop in and have a chat. He could have been taken ill or had to move or all kinds of things. Best not to jump to too many conclusions until you find out what is really going on.

Best of luck!

This guy is well known and his mics are known. He is in another state so I can't drop by. Maybe he's sick. This is strange. It's most likely against the rules to bring up his name. I just want my 414 back. GT.

Sharing names in these situations can bring benefit to this community. And it is certainly not against any GS rules.

Best of luck with having your microphone returned.

Well me wife got through to the guy with my mic. He said he had it done awhile back and tried calling me ,but didn't leave a message and he also emailed. He said he would send her a email. It's been another 10 days and I am not sure if any of it is true.We have no emails from him. This guy owns a mic company. Why am I getting this BS? I am so pissed off I feel like saying.

It's a trivial suggestion and you probably already done it - but did you search your spam folder for the mail?

The number of Xes seem to point at that name.

Well my wife got through on the phone today. The story has changed, but I am not going into it.(very creative comeback) Hopefully I can get an invoice and pay it and get my mic back.
I understand how things are. It doesn't mean I have to like them, but I am sure a guy that owns a big mic company has bigger fish to fry rather than call a small micro businessman like me back and have to leave a message. GT.
