I've just got word on the passing of my friend and recording engineer Bryan Carlstrom. It is unbelievable really. Super nice guy and very talented. He made a lot of great records on his own and with his partner Dave Jerden. He will be missed by many people. I just wanted to let the recording community know. We lost a talented guy.

I was a gofer with Bryan at Capitol Studios in '89, a gig he landed after a year of 16 hour days assisting on a Billy Idol album at Track Records in NOHO. (great stories) 1990, Dave Jerden arrived at Capitol to finish the first AIC album. Soon after he and Bryan became the dream team at Eldorado.

RIP Bryan, see you on the other side with a bowl of Chicken Soup from Victors.
