Ha ha , yeah I was just told to let others discover the bugs in win XP, and to stick with windows98 for now.

I agree with the OP, it's annoying to see a thread that looks interesting only to find that the info is 5+ years old. Especially when you are dealing with tech oriented threads like plugins, software, etc., it's frustrating because the old information is often just plain wrong considering how many versions have been updated since that thread was started.

I think a great solution would be to have not only the last post date listed in search results and the post listing pages, but also the thread start date. That way, those who do not want to read old threads that have just been updated with a single response 5 years later can avoid them.

I think it's the job of forum moderators to lock down old threads as read-only.

It's a tough calls, because maybe something can be added to the conversation later...

In this case though, my vote is to close this thread.

Considering that significance is always in context, that much occur, as it will be a moderator stating, "this thread is closed."

I'm not sure if the Geneva Convention specifically requires them to say that... you might have some kind of Utopian misapprehensions, bro...

I find it a little troubling when a post is resurrected about which 3 megapixel camera to buy for how many hundreds of dollars.

What they do with the thread is up to them, they are fond of them allowing themselves to self entertain. That or why make thread?

You are just getting trolled on a necro thread that says not raise necro threads back up from the bottom?

The internet is not a nice place it is full of bored people who just want to see other people acknowledge their existence, sometimes you just have to let stuff go.

Never.

Also, sometimes normal people go on the internet too. Sometimes.

Maybe.

Neither... But I read about this guy once, had some shale and a dam, a stage out the back and was renowned globally as a rodent hunter.

Look, just because I shot a dyeing horse doesn't mean I didn't have to kick it with my homies back at the bucket afterwards...

Another thing, this thread, it needs more youtube clips and quips and maybe a ship.

Also, I'm'a tax that Mother PhuckA!

Thank you for this. I thought I was being funny, now I realize I'm just being an attention starved jerk who hasn't gotten over never having "made it" as a rock star.

I hope that read lightly...

As promised.... A year after the original post.... Drum roll please....

Can someone remind me what this thread was about? I think it had something to do with bringing back old threads from the dead or something like that. :p

Google search + the "Similar Threads" box at the bottom of every page is the source of this problem.

And hey I have learned great things from books older than this web site. Good information never dies, NEVER! Bruhahahahaha!
