Thread Starter | Feedback and Pointers - I'm not promoting!
I am an up and coming producer. I mostly do work with rap/hip-hop instrumentals, but I am definitely working towards dance, electronic, and r&b. I would be interested in getting some feedback from you guys, since everyone on this website has an opinion about music. I feel as though I am making progress, as I started making beats in December, but would like some input from people who are not my friends to tell me how I am doing and possibly provide some suggestions for me. I am a college athlete, so I do not have the time that most students have to work on their skills. Anything you guys have to say will be helpful to me as I create music moving forward. My earlier songs are definitely rough haha but I am doing better now. Any specific technical advice would be great! I do not want to be one of those "producers" who just throws a couple instruments with some drums and says they are making music! I really want to develop my skills and see how far I can go with this! Any helpful plugins, resources, drum kits, videos, or advice is welcome! I am using Logic Express, an Akai MPK, MacBook Pro, and Beats By Dre. My website is in my signature. Looking forward to hearing from you! |
