Beat Detective, why you no like me?

Oh man, sometimes I love this thing, it works beautifully, you hit capture selection etc cut it all up and bam, maybe a couple erasing or adding or markers here or there but yeah, mostly all done for you and it lines up any edits etc in time.

And then there are times like today. I have a 4/4 song straight, need to quantize 8ths, nothing special on bass, and the damn thing has a hissy fit at everything on every different detection mode I'm trying. Garr. I mean, I don't mind doing the manual work but why is this thing so damn spotty when it comes to performance or is it just me noticing this?

Well sometimes it detects hits pretty much on the mark, all the transients are noticed and then you hit conform and it clicks correctly. This time, however, it's selecting things that aren't even transients and then even after an hour of editing all the markers, it conforms its seemingly at random.

Before you conform check that the capture selection has the correct bar numbers in- I've been finding it sometimes puts for example bar 3 beat 4 in as the starting point rather than bar 4 beat 1 which I selected
