I am finally a pro

Well, I am finally a pro.

I've made a new account because of my new condition.

I spent 6K in converters, 9K in mikes, 8K in pres, 10K in comps and 15K in a 32 core Mac Pro.I've been obliged to sell the bass guitar and the drum kit though.

Here is a cut of my new record kind of Hendrix, I think it sounds awesome with the new gear!!!

Superpro Shreds. Hey, why doesn't anyone do any 'in the studio' versions of those shredding videos? CLA Shreds the Studio and so forth?

How much did you spend on room treatment? You're not a pro if you didn't buy some room treatment.

Somewhere Steve Vai and Eddie Van Halen are hanging their heads in shame, having heard this. Good job!

BTW, are your converters and Mac more than 2 weeks old? If so, they're obsolete and must be replaced immediately. Since the time you bought them, they have experienced at least 75% depreciation.

Fortunately, you can count on any vintage mics and pres--no matter their condition, original status, and current reputation--to appreciate exponentially forever. So stock up on those EVs, MCIs, and Peaveys now while they're still affordable!

Sorry.. Hendrix always tuned to E flat.. You'll have to re-cut it a half step lower.

Well, it must have been you're REALLY OLD CABLES that made this recording sound so vintage...

...Especially, the cables you used for the reverb...

WELL DONE!

In fact, I don't think I've EVER heard such wonderfully recorded vintage cabling in the HISTORY of gearslutz!

And, what kind of guitar strap did you use??.....it sounds AMAZING!!

Seriously, we're going to trot this age old gearslutz gem out again? Everyone knows in a blind shootout Eddie Kramer couldn't tell the difference between a stock Levi's and a stock Ernie Ball strap. It's not until you get into the BLA strap mods that you really cut down on the thread to harmonic interference and clean up the sparkling highs and tighten the low lows.

I hate to piss on your lawn... but until you're sole income is from doing this - you're an amateur. Cash needs to flow in the other direction before you're actually a "pro".

That said - from the reviews here it sounds like people like the stuff you're doing... best of luck with it... hope you can figure out how to monetize the project.

Peace

Hmmm ... I'm really diggin' what you're puttin' down, BUT ... could I make a few small suggestions?

Switch the rhythm guitar to the other side. Rhythm should NEVER be panned to the side in which you chose to place it. It's in all the books!

I would also like to hear a cowbell. But only one time. It's up to you to decide where that critical moment will be, but I promise bro, if you get it right ... holy angels will lift this mix up on high.

Lastly, I was rather intrigued by the gauge of plectrum you chose for this mix. It brought out an invigorating and plucky spirit from the guitar. Good on ya!

Take 'er easy.

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY SERIOUS ... oh never mind.

I can never tell how I should read things in all capitals now. Is it always shouting? Was it just an accident? Maybe it's supposed to be an emphasis, but the entire statement is so important it's all emphasized....

Hmm...
