I thought the track was ok, certainly nothing there to dis the guy about.

We all have our own way of working, and all would have done things differently, right? That is what makes the world go around! If we all would have tracked or mixed it the same way, then you could make a computer program that could mix any song. Think how boring the world would be if one guy mixed all the songs???

A lot of this stuff is about personal taste, and CD loves the band, so let him gush a bit about them!

For the record, I wasn't dissing anyone...feedback and opinions were requested...I listened again just to be sure....not sure I get this thread and what separates it from all the ones in the mp3 section....other than "rock lives" and other bits of puff, which to me, means a very high bar...I don't know, guess I shouda done a Paula...didn't mean to offend if I did...

No matter how well you record this, I'm gonna do it, so don't take it personally." But Jeff was totally cool about it.

So I ended up surprising both Jeff and myself when I delivered the mix with no drum samples added.

I've got mad respect for Jeff's skills, and sincerely hope he and I do a lot of work together in the future.

It's just a snare not the end of the world. As I said before, you did a great job with these guys. Kudos!!

I believe that any of us who have a passion for music, would want to "gush" about any serious artist they might come across, under any circumstance. I don't know if 21 Against is "the next big thing," or not. What I DO know, is that they are very serious about their craft, and we are too.

So we team up, work together, and see what happens.

You have to embrace, and love, the process.
