I really hope people here get what I'm talking about even if they aren't in love with the music. Anyways, in 2005 Will Smith released an LP, "Lost and Found." I remember I wanted to check it out and got myself a copy because Will Smith is always real chill to listen to. At the time I probably didn't have near the same training I have now and always thought it sounded good. About 6 months ago I pulled out the album and through it in my car and take a listen to it every so often and am thoroughly amazed with the beauty of the mixes. They all are so clear, so smooth, so dynamic. They all seem to have their own unique qualities. They all really come through perfectly to my ears. I put the album through the studio and it always sounds right. Even better than that, I can play it through just about any pair of speakers I own (even my laptop, iPhone, etc.) and it never disappoints me. Don't get me wrong, I have heard better mixes that blow me away but sometimes it is hard to find a whole album of such pristine quality mixes. I took a look at the credits and nothing seems to go wrong here. You have two incredible engineers contributing to the mixes, Dave Pensado and Kevin Davis. I think it also contains some of Will smith's best music, but that's just my personal opinion. My only objection to this entire statement though has to be the song "Switch," which was his "hit single" from the album. I don't think it sounds very good nor is it of my preference. My main point of discussion is to hear if any of you gearslutz out there have listened to this album and thought the same. If not, even though I hate the way YouTube sounds, I'll post some of my favorites. Let me know your opinions on it all. I'm kind of wondering if it is maybe just me going crazy... |

So you're moaning about the fact that you listened to an album and enjoyed it?!
