Design wise. Seriously, it looks sooo retro.

Meh, I thought the old version fit into that stereotype perfectly.

Weak colours, very *thin*, basic look - which I actually don't mind. But I like the new version too.

I think it looks much better....

if it was a compressor, I'd describe it as "rounder"

I think it looks worse.

If it were an audio console, I would describe it as having less warmth.

The appeal has become more selective.

Not crazy with it here. It's sterile and cold.

Very good quote, I feel the same way. The solid blue color is the worse, edit , report and quote are just as bad.

I like the new look. It's neater and less busy. But I didn't mind the old look too much either. They both match my avatar kinda, so it's all good

That would be "vintage styling"... ya know... like you put big Bakelite knobs on something and it automatically sounds better...

This kind of look is actually from the new trend in web-design.

Timeless and perfect? No. "Friendly" enough? Yes.

It's horrible to look at. My eyes hurt. But you know you can go back to "Vintage Opto" in the dropdown at the bottom left

Because it's vintage, even though engineers of the past ran away from it... it must be awesome right? It may only be capable of 16Khz / 8 bit audio and have a fan louder than a guy cutting down a tree.. But it's old so I'll obviously hand over a blank check :P

Might have to move over to REP

I cannot think of any other forum whose style I like more. I'm always relieved when I return to my home: GS. Clear, calm and purple. Just as natural as ubk is brown

I find the too strong tonal contrast between background, headline and content surfaces very hard to adjust to. A more neutral colour scheme would be more easy to read. The old design wasn't pretty, but it was less of a chore to read.
Also, the new icons have way too strong outlines which adds to the mess.
