Gearslutz confessions - Part 1

I deeply regret the day I found Gearslutz. I came from KVR forums and thought that if I move to HW I won't be spending as much cash on the gear since HW is much more expensive than SW. Unfortunately I was right: now I buy my gear using credit card since I don't have the cash anymore

I keep my cash in the walls, because I don't trust banks.

Is this the kind of confession you were looking for?

This could be a GREAT thread. Unfortunately, I think a lot of us feel a little uncomfortable sharing secrets over the internet.

I've got a Korg MS-20 but have no idea why there are so many in- and outputs on the right side of the panel, I only use one...

I pretend to know what I'm doing and that I'm on top of everything, but inside I'm constantly doubting myself.

Been recording bands for 20 years and its always there

I don't like the sound of chorus on clean guitars. And I tend to prefer fairly dry drum tracks with very little reverb.

I gave up a full 4-year scholarship to a state university to pursue a career in audio engineering.

I couldn't help but feel the most empathy for this brother above, more than for any of us. This poor soul is in need.

Won't you help him?

I have over $60k in gear..... and since last year, no REAL studio

My studio was "stolen" from me by the building owners and they've refused to pay for my construction work and we're going to court.

And no, I didn't have a leaser agreement with them, it's a small town and I THOUGHT that the agreement we had with a handshake was worth something
