My friend has thoughtfully made these for me to soften the sting of a frustrating workday.

Vocalist and/or Guitarist: Can I do like 10 takes ans then you assemble the best parts into an awesome solo?

Engineer/Producer: Yeah, sure but it's going to take me about 4 hours.

Vocalist and/or Guitarist:Oh cool, that's what all the greats do. You can do it as good as them, right? That's why we came to you. The last guy we worked with could but he charged us extra to do it.

Engineer/Producer: Well, I don't work for free.

Vocalist and/or Guitarist: Well, if we knew it would cost us extra we would've just gone with the same guy as last time.
But you're really good at backing vocals too... so can you do all those for us?

Engineer/Producer:

Boogie Nights - Dirk Diggler - You Got the Touch - YouTube

His singing got so much better by the time he did "Rock Star"

That clip is awesome. I think he was singing bad on purpose.
"Were you rolling on the rehearsal?". Classic.

The real classic part of that bit is right after that where they're negotiating payment for the sessions, you know..."I don't have the money NOW, I have to have the master so I can get the record deal, and then you'll get paid"

I swear I've met that guy more than once........

"The magic is on those tapes!"

Boogie Nights is highly underrated and underquoted.

Could it be a name connection, Dennis? They're picking on all of us with "Ward" somewhere in our names?

This just might be true! As a matter of fact, there have been a lot of "Ward's" that have had heart attacks. Other than Bill Ward not many have survived it! Is it a sign that I'm doomed for ever?
