Hit the "+" button while in Safari and choose "Add to Home Screen". Easy access in an icon.

The Gearslutz App will do a voice-cloaking effect. When enabled, the person on the other end on the conversation hears the speech with slush-mouthed-geek-spitting "sssshh" sounds at the end of most words, especially in reference to gear.

The upgrade will make it possible to transfer an actual saliva spray of excitement to the person you're talking to when key words are used.

Key words in BETA right now are:
500 Series
ADC for LE
Apple

This would be a great app. Nice and stripped down. It may be a concern over a loss of ad revenue, though if companies pay for and make little ads to go on iphone it might work.

Better would be if someone made an app that could read, for example, vBulletin boards and map it out nicely to a template in the app, so sites like gearslutz will apply themselves to a good interface automatically but not be restricted to just gearslutz. I have no idea if that kind of app is possible though.

Glad you're thinking of making it. I request that you get the app to me via ad hoc distro to test, and that it is free to customers. If not, please think of 22 year old me raising a baby and send a small % of proceeds

There's many iPhone apps I've thought of, a few better than this, which I would never be able to make. Anyone interested in teaming up?

i haven't found it yet, but an app that shows SPL level would be welcomed in the studio and in live environments. it seems quite easy since the Iphone has a microphone built in it already.

What might be nice for a Gearslutz app...

Optimized layout with Larger text that only spans the width of the iPhone screen.
(no need to scroll left and right 10 times to read a 5 line post!)

Image and sound file uploading from iPhone. If I make a cool recording with Blue Fire, I can post it.

Sound file downloading to iPhone. If you make a cool recording, I can hear it.

"This looks awesome, wish I had an iphone.. "

I'm new to the iPhone but some of the apps are rediculously cool.
The really cool ones cost $20 - $150!

There's even a control surface app to control Pro Tools and some other DAWs!
