Does Mytek answer emails yet?

I've sent a couple of emails to Mytek and received no answer. Have they fixed their customer service yet? Does anyone know if any of their promised products e.g. 8x192, firewire card, are out yet?

Try getting in touch with David Seymour aka atticus. He's a hard worker, easy to get a hold of, and a close personal friend. He's been working for Mytek for some time now. He works very hard to make Mytek customers happy.

I have received my 8x192 some days ago (after I had waited some months for the unit). You can contact Marcin Hamerla from the European Mytek Office, too. He had always answered my questions immediately: europe@mytekdigital.com

Best Regards,
Mathias

Firewire card is not yet available, but they are making it a big priority. 8x192 has been shipping for some time, we always keep two units in stock.

As far as I'm aware we do answer all emails right away now. Mytek email address info2006@mytekdigital.com is routed to both David Seymour and myself and either of us make sure the email is answered within max 24 hrs. We tried to be very particular about this in the last several months. If you do not get answer in a day, try calling us, technical email problems do happen.

What email address were you sending to? And when were they sent?

Regards

This is correct information. Firewire is still being worked on, drivers proved not easy.

The ADAT card is out - DSD card and Protools HD Card are about to ship this month.

Thanks

Subject: which interfaces are available for 8x192?
To: info2006@mytekdigital.com

Hi,

I wonder if you can please tell me:

If the 8x192 is shipping in volume yet? (ie. what is
the lead time).
What interface cards are available now? (I understand
the Firewire card is not available - any date for that
too?).

thanks

Yes they are, but there is constant demand for it. If you placed your
order
now, we will ship your unit around May 1st. It will ship to you from
our
office in Warsaw, Poland and your best bet for ordering is here:

http://www.mytekdigital.com/europe/store/

If this is for your business and you do have EU VAT ID. Follow
instructions
on the welcome page.

Please email me if you have more QQ.

We have hoped to have it out, but the drivers proved to be more
convoluted
than I though. An engineer is working on it right now, but it's not
close
enough to provide a specific date yet.

It you need immediate solution , I can try to recommend alternate
route.

Michal,

I ordered (and payed for) my 8X192 in January and still have not received it. Now I check here and see that some dealers have 2 stocked at all times? And I still haven't gotten a reply to my email I sent about this last week. Please PM me and let me know whats going on, I need this thing in the next 2 weeks and I thought ordering in Jan would be enough time for me to get it by halfway through April...
Sorry to blow you up on GS but I need to get your attention, who knows maybe my email didn't go through or something?

Hi Ben

We have gotten the last shipment about 2 weeks ago and we were filling the backlog starting with earlier orders first. We test units , upgrade the firmware and ship them out at the pace we can. Your turn is coming up. I will hope yours gets shipped in the next couple of days

Dealers, you mentioned placed their orders last fall, prior to your order.

You will get the shipment notice when it gets out this week.

That's correct...the orders that we've had filled were as far back as September I think.

I just wanted to follow up on this thread and make sure everyone's questions were answered. If anyone needs immediate support my cell phone number is in my sig line as well as on the Mytek website.

I also wanted to confirm that 8x192's are in stock at a very few dealers, including at Atlas as posted in this thread. If anyone has any specific questions about it please feel free to call me anytime. Thanks.

I've got to say that in the last 8 months or so Mytek has been really attentive to our needs and to our customers' needs. It's a real pleasure to see them getting everything rolling smoothly.

well...i have to bring this up again. mytek customer support - i defended the guys at first but i now have to say that it's the worst support ever. i'm writing the same email with the same question for about a month now - received one reply - saying they'll look into it...nothing after that. what a joke. i expect a lot more when shelving out this much for gear.

The same goes for Digi, Yamaha, and Mesa Boogie. They don't even answer phone calls.

I apologize for your frustration. As a customer you ought to have your questions answered quickly. When you email to our general email (info2007@mytekdigital.com) the message is routed to both me and David so we both get it and either of us will answer it. David now gets it instantly on his pda even after hours.
If email is technically detailed I will typically try to answer as I have designed the boxes and know them intimately. But I also work with other engineers (for example someone else does the Protools card firmware) and sometimes I do not have the answer ready immediately.

I'm not sure what happened in this case, maybe I need to look into my email log or maybe I have not followed up properly but please rest assure we try to answer and help as soon as possible. If you feel you are not getting what you want through email there are also two phone numbers to call, one of them being David's cell phone. Please try us again or post your contact here so I can help you.

My email is mihow2007@mytekdigital.com

Michal, just a suggestion: you may want to drop the "2006" / "2007" idea from your info@ email address and just leave it at info@. An ever changing email address is not really a good idea for a business, and could be part of the problem here.
