Hi Vank,

I am so sorry for the long wait. I know it's very frustrating. We are doing everything we can to increase production, but the demand keeps outpacing our efforts. While the economy hasn't impacted demand, it has made it extremely difficult to find capital to finance our expansion. So we have been growing ourselves by our own bootstraps. Unfortunately, this provides for much slower growth than we really want or need.

The good news is Barefoot is in the process of moving to a larger facility and hiring more staff. I realize this doesn't help you in the short term with your order. But I just want you to know I am working quite literally non-stop to find ways to fulfill your order, and everyone's order, as fast as humanly possible while maintaining uncompromising quality. I can only hope that once you receive your MM27s you'll believe they were well worth the wait. Thanks for your continuing patience.

All the best,
Thomas

Dear Thomas,

Thank you for elaborating on the matter and giving us waiting folk some insight into the obstacles you're facing.

I never actually doubted that everything was being done to get them to Holland as fast as humanly possible, like you said without compromising quality! It's just that I really want them bad, yesterday After all, this is the Moan Zone

Cheers! V

Hi Vank,

I hope you've been enjoying your MM27s. Just wanted to follow up and let you know that we're in our new facility and finally shipping speakers on demand! We moved from San Francisco to Portland Oregon last summer. We’re in a much larger space, hired more people, developed a modern “just-in-time” manufacturing system, and generally just kicking ass. It took us 6 months to get it all in gear. But we’re finally caught up on all the backorders and shipping out speakers as orders come in. Yes, they are still lovingly crafted. But we’re far more efficient than we ever were before. Here’s a picture of our new facility.

Cheers!

You should be very proud. Did you do the "What did I get myself into" when you walked into the new place? I know for myself when we opened our 2nd plant in the UK I remember walking through it saying to myself "What have I gotten myself into?" and this was right at the end of 2008 when it seemed the world was coming to a end.
Place looks great BTW.
