How much did you pay for pro tools?

I would hit up their tech support for that answer.. I mean you paid for it right.?

Let us know if they honestly help you out or blow smoke up your ass..

good luck..

Make sure you selected the correct outputs for the bounce.

Sorry, if there is no file then it has nothing to do with the outputs

I don't mean to sound like a d**k, but are you absolutely sure about where the file is being saved to?

I've thought I had lost files several times, only to find they were saved somewhere else, usually due to operator error.

I have had this happen to me ALOT! And when I looked on the net, I also couldn't find anything, so YES! It is a valid problem, you are not insane.

Ok, there's part one. Next, try a few of these things:
- Call your dealer and ask them if they can help. This is a fairly common problem.
- if you are using a PC, defrag your drives. If Mac, repair them with disc utility.
- change your CPU usage limit to 99%, and latency to 1024 samples, then restart PT.
- take it out of "low latency monitor mode" if it's on.
- Are you using a dither on your master if you are changinh bit depth? You should be.
- Choose "convert files after bounce", not during.

I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, but your need to fiddle with all these things. You will get there eventuallly, but it's really time consuming and frustrating, but you're not insane. I haven't been able to get a straight answer from anyone regarding why this happens.

FWIW, it's happened to me on my 1gh, 640mb ram iBook, and a G5 iMac, 1.2ghz with 1gig ram. PT LE on a 002R both times. I've also had it happen on a HD2 rig, but that was easier to fix.

I don't see how you can use PT7 without the compatible hardware... at all.

I would suggest that the DUC forum at www.digidesign.com would be a much better place to ask this question.

Best of luck to you!
