No Marshall for me!

I was hoping to be posting in the "good news" forum, but tonight didn't go that way for me.
I almost had a Marshall JMP & 4/12 given to me... Almost...

I was playing a private holiday gig for a fairly wealthy guy. He plays guitar, and has a bunch of new guits, and Line 6 amps. The JMP has been in his garage for years. I asked if he wanted to sell it, and he said, "Take it. It's just sitting in my garage. I don't even know what it's worth." So I'm ready to offer him some money, when my guitar player says he can tell him what it's worth. tutt So, guit boy tells him what they're going for on ebay!!!!! fuuck I'm tellin ya, this guy doesn't really care what it's worth. But now the whole deals blown! I was speechless!

Later, guitar player says "he probably would have given it to you"... Yeah, no shit. Weren't we both standing there when he said that...????

Well.... I just picked up my Vibro Champ from repair. Maybe I can post in the "good news" about that.

I reckon your guit-player's not your kind of git anymore?

Now why on earth would he tell the price?

Is he a snitch or something?

6:00 block!! tutt

The guitar player is a good guy, and he didn't do it on purpose. He just wasn't thinking. The guy says, "Take it. It's just sitting in my garage. I don't even know what it's worth." Now I hear, "Take it. It's just sitting in my garage." And I'm ready to take the conversation that direction. Guit plyr hears, "I don't even know what it's worth". And is ready to spread his vast knowledge.

Since I can't really entertain cutting his brake lines, I think I'll calibrate his tuner just enough for an annoying rub!! Maybe a little more. After all, what's a half step among friends?!

You need to work out some secret hand signals or pig latin with your bandmate. Then you could have prompted him to say something HELPFUL like "I have a truck" or "Marshalls tend to burst into flames when left in a garage over a long period of time."

Depends if it's point to point or pcb. '70-early'72 PTPs will go for more like 2k...and they're worth it. '60s plexis are about double that or more.

Although I'm a guitarist myslef, some of us should be killed; the younger they're killed, the better for humanity.
