Why Gearslutz is better than...

Recently on a thread ostensibly about recording bass, Kurt Foster, Chris B., Alecio, and maybe some others made references to Recording.org - saying that despite it's checkered past, the "new" version was kinder/gentler - and we were all invited to partake.

So the past few days I've been checking it out, posted on a few threads, etc.

Well, somehow I quickly managed to get myself "unregistered" so that my Littledog identity is no longer able to log on (I was able to get in as a newbie called "Littledog, jr.") But more to the point, I noticed in one thread that someone, in trying to answer a question about Neve products, referenced ProSoundWeb.com, and the bulletin board had an automated censor that replaced the web address with asterixes!!!

Wonder how the recording.org fans justify that kind of ridiculousness. Let's thank Jules once again for running a forum devoid of these kind of petty insanities...

hi

Hi LittleDog! In fact I thought you had a son recording also.
I can not comment on that becasue I started at Ro in 2002 I guess.
They shall have their reasons for that.
BTW.. I do enjoy PSw also. Brad, Ronny, Bob and Jack the Bear and a few other folks are very pro nice guys! to me I need to go back in there! There was a time I used to post too much!

More of the same crap just a different day. The only forum I read there is the DIY forum which is a great resource. Otherwise ignore set to ON.
