| THE CLASH?!! wow. You need to look at a little thing called "context." These bands trailblazed. With the exception of Def Leppard, who I personally hate, these bands did something that was totally new. That takes something more than technical prowess. Sure, the Ramones weren't the best players (in fact, they weren't even good), but they defined a genre. I don't deny that there bands out there that have gotten rich while being really crappy, but you need to look at the context they were in. |
