Focal raises prices on monitors

Drat! I was saving for the Twins then they raised their prices. Twins used to cost 1595 each now 1695. I guess due to the Euro. Anyone suggest another comparable monitor that I don't need a subwoofer for? Thanks

I've been using Event Opals for a week now, and have yet to feel the urge to return them (the original plan was buy just to "try" them for a few days to see what they were about, and then take them back while I deliberated my decision on new monitors, but I've still got 'em).

Might be worth checking them out.

You're going to change your monitor choice because of $200????

Wait an extra month and get what you want.

+1 for the Opals. Monitors are a very personal choice, so take your time and hear them first before buying them. Forget about GS and trust your ears

My thoughts exactly... AND if you're buying them for cash, and know the "billing cycle" on your credit card you can put the additional $200 on a card, get them sooner, pay off the additional $200 before the bill hits and you won't get hit with interest.

Yeah, they're definitely worth an extra $200. I just finally picked up a pair as I got word the price was going up, and was about to be in the market for better monitors.

Definitely satisfied.

Does anyone know if this price bump is temporary or permanent?

Much like taxes, price hikes are generally permanent.

I mean when was the last time you heard someone advertise "we're raising prices for the month of February to cost you more!!!!"
