Where are creative artists?

.
I am sick of it:

Quote:
A Cappella

Gospel

Rock

Britpop

...
Not those genres in particular, but the classification in itself. Can't stand sites as beatport stike

Why Music today lacks PURE artists as Frank Zappa, which was not-so-easy to classify ??

Don't tell me he was into Pop or Rock please...

Beatport? yikes, if you're into Zappa, stay out of there.

St. Vincent, Grizzley Bear, Dirty Projectors

my favourite artist at the moment is spoonbill:

YouTube - Spoonbill - Feather Leather - Directed by Dropbear

it might be absolutely not what you're looking for, but it's very cool.

Aashram.

Go check out the wide world of fusion. Fusion is as all encompasing as Jazz. Too hard to define and there's a lot of creativity out there.

They're all over the place and always have been. They have never won popularity contests or topped the Billboard charts.

Why worry about what most people like? Find what you like and support it.

I'm really into Unsigned band Doll & The Kicks at the minute, saw them supporting Morrissey in May and thought they were amazing, bought there album and for a self funded album, is amazing! Such good tunes.

Though people like Frank Zappa don't come around so often. Same with The Beatles and Pink Floyd.

Zappa is one of those artists that was an absolute genius, yet I can't stand a good majority of his music at all.

Want creative music?
Check out the math rock and post rock scenes. Lot of stuff in those genres that is quite the opposite of commercial music

There is SO much good, creative music out there. It's endless, I can't keep up.
