Yeah, it does look like it's true. And that is definitely so weird that McMahon, Fawcett and Jackson all appear to have died in a the same period. Of course, when you look for patterns, you usually can find them: that's how the human mind works.

But wow, sad... Michael Jackson has certainly had his ups and downs and has become more odd with time, but hey, I was just playing some of the early Jackson 5 for my little kids and you know, if he'd never done more than that, it would have been pretty amazing... Those were some stunning songs to record at age 5 or 6.

Rest in peace, Michael.

I'm glad he left so much that can still be listend to. My GF called crying her eyes out. She would get really angry if I ever joined the bandwagon of jokes against him. What a footprint he left that will never be forgotten. Wow!!

I'm 44 years old so I remember when Elvis passed away. I actually felt sick and a feeling that another era in music had come and gone. I feel the same way now.

RIP

Definitly playing some MJ tonight too. "Bad" has always been one of my fav songs. MJ's music has always has some sweet synth production IMO. Rest in MJ.

In absolute shock. Dont even have words at the moment. Michael Jackson was our generations John Lennon.

My God, how tragic... I'm indescribably sad about this. Floored really. What a strange, sad, day today. First Farrah and now Michael, in his case without any warning to the public about any life threatening health issues.

I saw him on the thriller tour with his family (I forget the actual name of the tour now, I was 11 or 12 I think at the time). I'll never forget that concert, and I'll never forget his music and dancing.

My thoughts and prayers to the Jackson family and all who knew him, and of course to his other fans.

What's sad about this is that we are losing legends faster than we are replacing them.

Mike was one of those artist who comes along only once every 50 to 100 years or so. "Thriller" put him over the top, but "Off The Wall" is still one of my all time favorite albums. God bless the dead.

I actually had a similar thought, but I equated him more to our generations Elvis Presley. Pop music, dancing, (and they are already alleging his death is due to heart attack brought on by prescription meds).

I always equated Kurt Cobain to being our John Lennon. Both tortured musical poets in a way.

Either way, I'm incredibly saddended. I remember exactly where I was when I saw the thirty minute premier to the thriller video when I was 9. Off the Wall and Thriller are just perfect pop albums.
