Unbelievable attitude...

For those who want a Free copy of Cubase - Cubase SX - tribe.net
I'm just choking back my anger at the blatant stupidity of some people and their stance on pirating software. Check out this thread over at tribe.net on the Cubase tribe... you should be able to view without being a member.
This ****** bag has a sense of entitlement you couldn't fit thru a door...

EDIT: The guy couldn't take the heat and deleted the thread...

He sure has his little axe to grind. Shit man,
I started with a pirated copy of Cubase. Then I just happen to meet one of the programmers. From that day on I made a promise to never pirate any program. Saved a little, bought a MOTU. Got Cubase LE.

Shouldn't this remarkable idiot be reported to Cubase? If so, would they actually pursue him?

I'm not defending the guy, but I see no evidence that he engages in all of 1-8. Maybe you know him, or found his personal profile or something?

If all that is true, the guy should be forced to work as a janitor at Cubase until he pays off the software he stole. It would probably take only a month of actual work that he's never done in his life, for being too busy in his mom's garage downloading pirated software. His mommy probably doesn't give him enough allowance money and now he figured out a way to steal what he wants instead.

I think what's really at play here is the culprit being young and stupid... especially after measuring his replies.

If people are pursued for downloading mp3s

Download Uproar: Record Industry Goes After Personal Use - washingtonpost.com

Why aren't software pirates pursued with as much vigour?

They aren't. You (and most others that post this crap) need to read the articles you link. Further, in that particular case the record industry tried to free use undone. If you support that at this point, there is a serious problem.

If you take Waves as an example, catching and prosecuting people who steal their software is not unheard of. Hence, why I asked if Cubase does the same.

Honda isn't in law enforcement, nor is Waves, but Waves goes after thieves. Draw a better parallel.

People are constantly sued by the RIAA for downloading copyrighted materials. Is this what you are saying isn't happening?

I did read the article. No I don't support chasing people for downlaoding mp3s. I was drawing a comparison to the RIAA chasing music copyright infringements, and questioning why software companies don't do the same thing.

You need to speak english for me to understand you. What does "tried to free use undone" mean? I didn't state my postition on anything, I was simply posing the question asshole.
