Crossing over to the darkside

I've been resisting doing this for a long time, but due to mostly bands on a limited budget coming through I've finally did it.......Drumagog

Don't know whay you imply that it is evil to use it. Not everyone can afford to track drums at A&M or in a killer drum room. This gets the medium sized studio more options.

I do agree that it is almost essential when your drums tracks look like this :

Don't listen to slaves666, embrace your anger and hatred for weak drummers and strike their tracks down! Only then will your conversion to the dark side be complete...

oh yeah, and get autotune and abuse the hell out of it too!

You might as well cut off your arm and get it robotically enhanced by strapping a waves compressor onto the end of it and smash whats left of the life out of it..

I think you misunderstood me.....I hate lame drummers as much as the next guy, I even have a session guy on call in case of emergencies.

I've used Drumagog and Autotune enough that I have key command short cuts, and tons of .gog files.

Drum Rehab kills drumagog... too bad no one writes any libraries for them. I bought the Supersonic library and made my own sample sets with the .wav files.

Just venting about finally getting over using it. With the right Drummer I can make sample worthy sounds, but since I don't have too many of those come through it's come down to this. Will I do it everytime? Of course not, but it's a nice option to have. As far as the comment of the lame samples that come with Drumagog. Compared to the drum kits that roll through my place they're amazing!!

The deal killer for me is Drumagog disables keyboard input to PT when the Drumagog window is on top--so no keyboard shortcuts. That pretty much makes it unusable for me. I switched to Drum Rehab.

NP......

I do agree that the GUI needs an update.....but the program works great. I would like to see a better handling of the samples ie. browser/organizer, and a stand-alone app to create the .gog files.
