Unhappy Death toll rises in NEW US club inferno. All Gearslutz OK?

At least 96 people are now known to have died in a massive blaze at a rock club in the eastern US state of Rhode Island.

Officials in the town of West Warwick said the death toll could rise further, with the search for bodies continuing and 160 people injured, some of them critically.

The club was engulfed by flames within minutes of the fire breaking out during a pyrotechnics display at a rock concert.

The band was "Great White". I worked with them in the early 80s, nice guys. And already the clubowners are uniting and telling stories how it must be the band's fault because they used Pyro which wasn't authorized. When you see the footage, you can see that the whole thing was going up in flames in just seconds, no fire extiguisher in sight, exits not marked etc.

I hope the guys get out of this one ok.

there was a similar incident here, but with no casualties, the night before the Rhode Island incident. Pretty freakin strange all these things are happening in one week.
