| i am not going nuts , i am used to it , but , it SUCKS maybe some of you have kindalike the same problems to deal with and have some clever ideas ??? i have arranged a new tune which i want to record . i recorded some scratch tracks in front to make shure i get what i want ( musical wise ) . i am working with a d24 PT . ive started with the drums , did some programmings etc . made em sound good , rdy . i overdubbed the electric sounds with some naturals ( crashes , marching snares , shaker etc . ) . drums are ready ... 28 tracks ... lol ... edits are all done ( if i wanna edit some parts with plugs i need to open a new session to be able to have some plugs ) . i ve putted a scratch bass on and want to do guitars , piano & rhodes andandand . now i have to bounce the drums that i can keep on goin . but i cant listen to the other stuff ( 32 tracks , thats it ) . if i bring the bounced drums in my guitar session , the song has changed all the way . the atmosphere is gone . the atmosphere which i try to keep has changed from a " rainy , easy goin " song to a fugee hiphop song . i cant get the balance right if i can just listen to the drums & some scratchstuff . GOD DAMN IT ... i hate it to go down and have to spend some hours to bounce the drums so i have 16 tracks left . i just lose time on " how to make it work " with my setup , mix + is next if theres some $$$ . playing a track takes sometimes 2 hours , dealing with my PT takes almost 4ever " were not goin 4 the sound were goin 4 the song " ... true but not helpful ![]() |

| Try boucing everything except the kik, snar, hat and ride. You'll have less open tracks to mess with, but at least you'll have the "meat & potatos" of the drums. Are you definately going to be mixing on the same system??? |
