| I got a message saying that they were closed today. WTF? They released a new version of the Fantom weeks ago and decide to close support today? To add insult, they gave the holiday closing dates as well! They know that there is an issue with importing .wav files into memory. The guy I spoke with last week blamed it on Windows Media Player, saying that any file opened with WMP puts some funky coding on the file, messing up said file for Roland and Yamaha keyboards. However, MIDI files opened with WMP don't exhit this glitch. I need to find a solution to this for live performance, since I can't play eight freakin' parts myself unless I grow six more arms. I remade the files directly out of Cubase but still have the problem. Using my laptop is no longer an option since a stage crew member knocked it off its stand during my last performance; my display hasn't worked since. Argh! ![]() This is the first issue I ever had with a Roland product in 30 years, and now when I need product support I can't get it. Bad timing.

| Lives for gear | I think it was just bad timing. If you just got a new phantom though, what about using your old rig until you've cleared the issue up? I mean, it's probably only for a few days. Also, try .aif you might have better luck with that format. |

I sold my old Fantom, no option there, and I dislike softsynths, so forget the plugs. Plus, I upgared keyboard size too--my old Fanton was only 61 keys which doesn't cut it for the project I'm doing. My old reliabe v-synth is getting a lot of work now, lol.
