| Lives for gear | Phasing problem with drums Hello guys! I´m running PT LE and I have a question: While sending all my drums to an AUX track and compressing it, I hear phasing, mostly on the snare. Is there any way to get rid of it? What cause this? |

| If you want to do the compressed and uncompressed drums in PT. Send all the drums out a stereo buss.(say drum buss) Create two stereo aux busses tracks with the input to stereo buss. and you can then adjust the clean and compressed levels. With LE I did not think there was lantacy with RTAS plugins, although the aux busses could still be what 8 samples. (RTFM) With TDM I put a comp on one stero aux (channelstrip or DUY valve) and a timeadjuster on the other. Hope this helps |

| In LE there is just as much latency with plug-ins as with a TDM system. Another option after inserting a Comp on a drum track is to just nudge that track forward by the # of samples of latency that the plug-in causes. If you command-click the volume box on that channel it will toggle through volume, latency in samples and something else I can't think at this second . I always write the number of samples the track's been moved in the text box at the bottom of each channel strip so I can keep track of it if I decide to remove the plug-in, so I can move the track back to it's original position. It's truly a pain in the balls - we sorely need auto delay compensation. Good Luck Tony |

| In your mix window, hold down Apple & Click where it shows the numerical value of your fader (Vol 0.0). It's the 3rd box down, right above where it shows the numerical value of your panner. Apple Click once = Peak Apple Click again = DLY, the delay in samples of your plug ins (but not sample delay of doing A/D D/A conversions) Apple Click again = Vol (again) |
